On Thursday morning, May 21, the U.S. House of Representatives Energy and Commerce Committee by a unanimous vote passed the 21st Century Cures Act. The legislation as approved by the committee includes provisions addressing many areas of health care, including patient access, medical devices, clinical trials, health information technology, telehealth services, Medicare payment for disposable medical technologies, and Medicare site of service price transparency.
